If you don’t know by now, I’m Shanice, and I’m engaged to an amazing man named Chris.  Out of habit, I want to fill this page with a bunch of meaningless adjectives, but that would be a waste of space, now wouldn’t it? Simply, I’m a 22 year old from a small town in North Carolina. I graduated summa cum laude from college in December 2011 with bachelor degrees in English and Political Science. I’m an aspiring novelist, and I want to be an entrepreneur.  I am a sucker for the simple things in life. Watching reruns of Charmed and Girlfriends, getting wrapped up in a good book, relaxing, and listening to my iPod are my favorite things to do when I have me-time.

I aim to be a genuinely good person, snatch up my happiness whenever possible, love without a limit, & reach the goals I set for myself. Everything about me pretty much falls into those categories.  I could ramble on about how much I love gadgets, fashion, my iPhone,  R&B music, the smell of cocoa butter, and Forever21, but I won’t. I don’t think you would care to read about all that anyway.

• I am Black. I am American. Don’t you dare call me African American. I have never even been to Africa.

• Yoplait yogurt is to die for, and pickles have been my favorite snack since as far back as I can remember.

• My best friend and me joke about being codependent. But, I worry that it’s not a joke.

• I am the youngest of 3. I have two older sisters.

• Most of the time, the only makeup I wear is eye makeup.

• Although I am the ultimate girly girl, up until recently I hated wearing heels. I’m 5’8 so they make me feel like a giant, and not to mention they are painful! I still don’t really like wearing them, but I will put them on occasionally. I live in flats & boots. I hate sneakers.

• I desperately want to travel. My goal is to visit at least two continents outside of North America before I am 30.

• I have lived in North Carolina all my life; however, I would not be classified as country.

• I am a blogger and web designer. I started in 2004 at age 15.

• I am currently writing my first novel. It’s a drama/mystery which involves love, sex, betrayal, and murder.

• I have competed in 2 pageants in the past year and a half.

• I am a dog lover. Cats? Not so much.

• I have an iPhone 4S and a MacBook Pro. You can say I’m an Apple Fan girl.
